Phil with drain openers plus was sent by home warranty company to look at my water heater. He quickly looked at it and said I needed a new one. The heater was ordered and shipped to his house within a week. Myself nor the insurance company could get in touch with Mr. Phil. Another week went by and still no word. I had to purchase a heater myself and pay to have it installed. The insurance company is only going to reimburse for half of what I had to pay. I suggested they never use this company again. I think Phil is taking these water heaters and installing them in uninsured houses. He should have zero stars. Do not waste your time on this deplorable man!!! Insist that you get a different contractor!

I truly wish I could give this a higher review, as at the time I felt he was quick and professional . I contacted First American Home Warranty about a potential pipe leak I had in my ceiling, back in early December. I had turned a secondary shut off valve off in the mean time, including a hot water valve for the upstairs vanity. Phil came by about right on time in the morning and was friendly. I showed him the spot in the ceiling and we went upstairs. I told him what I had done via the shut off & the hot water valve, as i couldnt also turn the cold off upstairs because it was stuck. He tried as well and did not want to risk breaking it (thank you! 🙏) He turned both valves back on and let me know the warranty company does not cover secondary damage due to the leak . This I can understand. In hindsight the process felt too rushed, he waited to see if the leak would happen again and it hadn't. All in all i feel the visit was about 20-35 minutes. Lo and behold i had checked back a week later, fine . Today I see the leak came back with a vengeance and am very upset. The water damage is worse and I won't be going the route of my warranty . I can sympathize with Phil as I know companies like this want to squeeze us for everything we are worth and give subpar work. I don't doubt his hands were tied. Still disappointed.

This place is horrible. My home warranty dispatched this company Phil to work on my water heater. Phil reached out and the first states “ we had issues with our phone lines”. Day 2 sent an email asking if we could be there between 8-12 the next day. My property manager agreed to the time. she said Phil never showed. First American called Phil and he states” we did not have them on our schedule “ We have emails and text confirming the appointment. This company should be reported. Very unprofessional and by other reviews it shows it also.

Home warranty company sent this contractor, I believe his name was Phil, from Drain Openers to fix a broken shower diverter in the master bathroom and the guest bathroom. This was back in September, the 9th, to be exact. Haven't heard anything from Phil or Drain Openers since and it is December 17th. No one answers the phone, voice mail is disabled. Home warranty company can't get in touch, either. Now waiting to see if we can get a reputable plumber to fix the showers.

Not impressed at all. Phil came to the house and was not very friendly. He said we had to have a new toilet, but needed to be approved by the warranty company. He told the warranty company the bolts were too tight which caused hairline fractures and our toilet to leak. We never did any maintenance on the toilet until it started leaking proving the fractures were there before my husband tried to find out the problem. Warranty will not pay because Phil said we tighten the bolts too tight and caused the fracture. He never said anything to us about that. Now we are calling another plumber because we can’t trust this company.

If I could give this company a zero I would, this company is horrible. My home warranty has used them twice the first time Phil didn't even check the leak, then told the home warranty I did modification when it only needed new seals. He came this week to check my water heater and made it worse than it originally was. Then refused to come back out. I filed a complaint with my warranty company, I don't want this man or this company back on my property.

Phil did okay installing the hot water heater. However, this is the first time in which I had to pay extra money ($95.00) for the pieces Phil had to purchase because he ordered the wrong heating unit, especially through my home warranty. We were given the option to wait another 2 weeks for a new water heater or pay $95.00 for the pieces he had to buy. After being without hot water for a week, we just could not go another two weeks boiling water to either wash dishes and/or take baths, especially since it is in the middle of January and the temperature is recorded to be the coldest since the beginning of the season. Yes, we had other work done through our warranty and they too had to buy extra pieces, but they never charged us extra money. It does feel like a rip off and I hope we don't have to go through that again.

We went thru home warranty and they sent this company out to fix water heater that was tripping the breaker inside. Took 2wks to come out. Replaced the water heater element and said Get electrician to come check breaker that's STILL tripping. Electrician came and discovered a major leak at the water heater that's corroded wires and causing a fire hazard. They can't fix the electrical until this company comes back to fix the leak. We're still waiting. No hot water STILL and left with a fire hazard til they return. This company does not respond to phone calls nor contacts you back! Still waiting in thomasville!
